i just saw ross lyon being interviewed on fox sports. he was asked "which player has improved the most st st kilda?" lyon said it's exciting to see kids and rookies make the grade (jones, geary, gilbert, etc), but the hardest thing to do is for players like ball, del santo, montagna, etc to take that extra step. basically he's saying its bloody hard to go from being a good player to an elite footballer
it's a good point to make. we have players in who are in a similar scenario... lids and foley are the first 2 that come to mind. what do they need to do to take that next step?
