thx giallo and tigericho,
. How much louder we were than the other teams because of the novelty of actually winning a game (remember 1988 beating carlton under lights??)
Trains and trams are still fun after the footy, especially after a win of course. Melbourne is still footy mad and there are plenty of vocal people to either celebrate or commiserate with you.

My two favourite Footy moments combined.

The night we beat Carlton, my 6 year old son abnd I walked up Bridge Road with a few thousand other Ferals,
Best Night Ever.

we actually have 2 great footy stadiums now where you can sit in comfort, have a beer at the bar without having to buy a plastic cup, and you don't freeze your bum off on the wooden seats at arctic park

nothing the list is still full of duds and those in charge are still oblivious to the needs of running a footy club.

lets get you to run the club the claw. run for the board and we'll vote you in on the promise you will get rid of the duds and the inept footy department

not much has changed man

back in the mid 90s i used to scream at jamie elliot to get off the field, now (last 2 years) i scream at tivendale.

as tigericho stated: no ressies match so you don't have to go as early to get a good seat anymore.

southern stand is still as good a place as any to get a seat

I think some have changed their Jocks and Socks .(I hope ).

In terms of the whole experience.

No more Reserve Games prior to 2.10 Start. You walk into a Dead Stadium.
Yeah, I miss this

The playstation Challenge was Big in 1996, It has gone the way of the Commodore Computer.
Good

Voice of the G, has been and gone.
GOOD!!!

Marty Fields Pre match, has also been and Gone.
No great loss there

The roar Meter. Yep Ditto.
Ahhh the roar meter...how could they get rid of THAT gem? Great for a laugh - especially when it went to 100% after a goal...even though we were still 10 goals down

No more falling down the Ponsford stairs.
Don't like nosebleeds anyway

Rex Hunt is still calling games, but his On Air partners have changed.
Probably quit with industrial deafness

The Footy Show is back as always, NEWSFLASH- New Hostess??
Shane Crawford?

What has changed since 1996?

A lot of the players that's what...of the the 1996 crop we only have Richo, Gas and J Bowden are left. The coaches have changed too. Gone are Walls, Geischen, Frawley (thank god) and in is Terry Wallace. What hasn't changed. Still optimistic of a turn around in fortunes...(unless your name is Claw :hihi). Position on the ladder.
