To top it off McKenna was on SEN this morning and said that GC don't have to give away any of their draft picks for the uncontacted players they will be gifted from each club. He indicated that the AFL will decide on the compensation draft pick the clubs will get based on the quality of the player they give up. So if a good player decided to walk then the GC didn't have to give away any of it's picks and the AFL would give them a mid range pick, which would then in effect bump all other draft picks down a pick.
That's how I understood what McKenna was saying.
