I dunno how to quote across threads,

Quote the post in the thread it's in. Using your phone, take a photo of the quote that's been inserted (i recommend High Quality and panorama mode, no filters). start with [ quote] and ends with [ /quote]

Then go to Goldposts thread. Start a new post and type in what you see in the photo. After you finish the [ /quote] add in whatever you want to say about the post.
