For him to get Chol 4 years on 400k is outstanding work.

For me it shows that GC are degenerate gamblers.

A very big leap of faith for that sort of money, especially when you look at the young stars they will need to pay a premium to keep over the next couple of years.

Could Mabs be our Trojan horse? Send him up there to gobble up cap then shake the tree next year.

So what I don't get is we get no compo for Bruise Free Marbs because it is offset by Tazz coming to us in the same way?
So are they saying a 21 gamer has the same value as a 174 gamer?
Is that right or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Pauline Hanson?

I think we all have to wait and see what the AFL's magic formula states this time.

FWIW I suspect the "magic formula" is similar to this

There is a discretionary component to the formula. The AFL can overrule whatever result the formula spits out. This is why we end up with results like the Ellis compo or the ridiculous Ablett, GCS, Geelong situation. The AFL, as they like to do for everything just “manage” the situation to achieve their desired outcome.

Good Luck to Mabs, hope he enjoys his time in the Suns
Personally I think part of his problem is that he 'enjoyed' being on a list and from the outside looking in, didn't work hard enough....
I call him Maybe-Or Chol..... Maybe he could do this.... Or, if he applied himself more etc etc.
Anyway, as you say, good luck.

Best wishes to him with our development squad. Works for both parties.

And it will be excellent for my blood pressure to not have him playing.

4 years?
what is the record for the fewest games for 10 years on an AFL list?

Good luck to him, no one should blame him for signing that deal!

What an outstanding deal Ralph Carr got for cholly. 4 years.

We can ridicule his ways a little - he seems quite eccentric, which I like TBH.
But I reckon he negotiated a great deal did Ralphy. He and his client should be very pleased.

Now if only the AFL arent their usual dicks towards Richmond.
