Wingers need to be able to run all day, both ways.
Wingers need to be able read the play to know where to run, and to intercept.
Wingers need lots of courage to intercept the ball and fill holes.
Wingers need discipline to follow instructions, not chase kicks.

Not sure Choll has any of those attributes.

Hello Dimma, goodbye Mabior?

“GOLD Coast goalkicker Mabior Chol shapes as a key forward trade option for clubs this year despite having two years to run on his deal at the Suns.

Chol joined the Suns from Richmond at the end of 2021 on a four-year deal as a free agent, kicking 44 goals from 22 games in his first year at the club.

But he has been squeezed out this season, playing eight senior games and kicking 10 goals while spending most of the season in the VFL for the Suns.

With Ben King the Suns' spearhead, Levi Casboult set to play on and Jed Walter to arrive as the club's next key forward threat with an early draft pick, Chol's spot in the Gold Coast line-up could be challenged.

The 26-year-old played 31 games for Richmond under Damien Hardwick, who has joined as the Suns' senior coach for the next six seasons.” www.afl.com.au

The hardest of no’s.

Chol, like Miller, Elton, Post, Nyoun, Griffiths, McBean and many more was another 6’6+ so-called tall that played with zero physical presence and even less impact. The fact he spent so long on our list in the first place is a blight on our list management and a mistake we still make to this day.

Yet, somehow we got lucky and salvaged the situation thanks to the infinite stupidity of the AFL’s special needs club GCS and people want to help them undo their clusterfuck!?!?!

Never forget, we won our first premiership in 37 year due in no small part because our coaches came to the conclusion that literally no tall forward was better than the likes of Chol, Elton etc. Let that sink in. It is the football equivalent of your partner telling you they’d rather be alone than spend another moment with you.

No tall forward is better then a bad tall forward.

No. No point. Will just keep doing what he's always done, the occasional good game or big highlight.

10 goals from 8 games in the AFL and 30 goals in 13 games in the VFL this year. Couldn't get in with King back.

44 goals from 22 games in the AFL last year.

I would have him back no problem, particularly in our current predicament.

To me, Ryan is a first ruck and doesn't give us what Chol can up forward. We can't keep playing Soldo and Nank in the same team and Chol gives us a forward first and foremost but a viable second ruck option.

Balta and Miller are also not forward options.

He'd come very cheap, a packet of Twisties & a used Minties wrapper should get the deal done.
