PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

The McGuane thread has got me thinking. People are always trying to make players turn from forward to back and vice versa. I don't like this idea. Yes sometimes it is needed, but It hardly works. A player could have played all their junior career as a FB, but as soon as they get to Richmond you hear "let's make him a forward". It sh!ts me. >:( >:( >:(
Which brings me to Gourdis. He is supposed to be an athlete playing footy isn't he? Why confuse him and change his position to back (if thats what Richmond are trying to do, i know supporters are saying that)? He knows how to play forward, take a mark, kick goals and is lightning quick. Leave him forward. The backline is actually looking alright now (talent wise), but i cant see Hughes and Schulz making big impressions. Someone said on another thread that he and Deledio posted 2.68sec for 20m. Now imagine that coming from a FF or CHF!!! Unbeatable. Let the kid play naturally and how he knows.
Forward for me what does everyone think?

P.S Obviously it depends if he gets a game first and is actually good enough.
