Grand Final Ticket Guarantee

Just checked my email and the Victory have sent me yet another email while the RFC are too busy counting money.

*smile* that pisses me off.

Yes, I too am waiting patiently for my renewal notice now and hope that those that have already been made aware of this promotion have not snapped up all the guarantees before I am formally advised about it >:(

Ditto

You already know it's available. No good complaining you missed out if you spend the next couple of weeks waiting for an invitation.
Ring the club up FFS and tell them you want in.

Not sure what the clubs arrangements are for sending out renewals. My membership is on rolling renewal and monthly direct debit from my credit card.As the first debit comes out tomorrow I guess they are required to notify us in adavance, they notify us also in case we want to alter or upgrade our memberships at the same time to save having to stuff around and adjust things.
Now that I'm donating extra moolah to the club I guess I just have to cross my fingers and everything else in the hope we manage a Granny before I'm to old and decrepit to attend.

Interesting TM. Have you done that yourself? I made enquiries about the $75 GF guarantee it a week or so ago and was told I have to wait for the renewals to be finalised. It would be a concern if the membership dept were giving conflicting/incorrect info out.

Good to see the Tiges finally adopting the "Anchor" guarantee for finals tickets.

It has already been used very successfully by other clubs.

I suggest a "junior" anchor is very important, as nothing guarantees a Tiger supporter for life more than seeing a Tiger premiership as a boy, or girl.

I have called the club twice about it, yesterday being the most recent time, and was told to take up the option in my renewal form. Problem is I haven't seen a renewal form yet.

I am on the same type of membership. My son, who is also on this system, got his advice a week ago. I consider this to be his renewal form, as effectively it is advice that if you don't change anything, the membership will roll over to next year. Unfortunately I binned the advice my son got immediately as I wasn't going to change anything. I do not recall seeing anything about the GF ticket guarantee on it, but as he is a junior member, I assume that is why.

Maybe the problem I am faced with here with regard to my previous post and the advice I received is because I am on this system? I support the club's thinking on this approach to membership, as it does save time/effort and money. However, like Tigerlee, I'll be very disappointed if I miss out on the offer because my form didn't get to me. I rang the club yesterday and asked them to send me out another copy, as presumably mine has been lost in the mail system somewhere. So fingers crossed.

I called the club last week and renewed my membership with the guarantee option without having to wait for the official membership mailout.

I rang the club a few minutes ago. Was told I could renew there and then, but was a bit pushed for time and didn't have my credit with me. They said renewal forms would be sent out in the next week or two. It shouldn't be a problem to do it then, because there weren't many 'rolling' members and there were plenty of tickets (although in the next sentence was told there were limited numbers available, I'm assuming limited in the thousands?). Anyway, will be ringing them again tomorrow and will have my credit card handy, just in case.

Nah! Didn't have to Rosy. First I knew about the GF extra was when I received my membership update notice.
I rang the club to double check some details spoke to the Goddess about it then rang the club back to upgrade both our memberships.
If I had read about it on here I sure as hell wouldn't have wasted any time complaining on here that my renewal hadn't arrived, I'd have rung the club to suss out my options.
Looks like you're right re conflicting info coming out, some of the other posters on this thread seem to have been able to upgrade just by ringing the club.
As it's first in best dressed for the LIMITED number available you would think it doesn't matter how or when members notify the club.

I have got to have drawn the short strawn in all this then :hihi

I'll call first thing tomorrow and see what happens this time.
Don't ask 'em streaker. Thump the fist on the counter and demand your right as a long suffering Tiger feral to be charged extra dollars for what may in the long run be very little reward.

Regardless of how you find out, the club is ultimately responsible for informing members of these types of offers/options.
When numbers are limited, regardless of whether or not they think they will reach the cap or it will take a while to, everyone should have notification dispatched as closely as possible to make it fair. I only know of this through PRE, I have plenty of Tiger friends who don't look at this site & when we spoke about the draw & memberships on the weekend, none of us mentioned this offer.

My deal is better than the Tiges. I'll offer you a guaranteed grand final ticket for 2009 if the Tigers make it at a reduced rate of $50. Offer valid till Round 22, 2009. PM me and Ill give you my account details. Thanks for the investment.

I received a letter from the club yesterday telling me that the membership type I have purchased over the last 2 years is no longer available and I should call the club to discuss a new type for 2009. They also advised of the Grand Final Ticket Guarantee in the letter. They did not tell me what other options I had though.

I am so not happy they have stopped my type of membership as it was the only one they had that satisfied my needs >:(

Anyone know what the options for membership are for 2009 so I can see what I should select? I have had the Interchange membership over the last few years - cost around $220 I think. Price is not a factor but I loved having a reserved section (M9) on the concourse as I love being close to the action.
