Brown left for money & thought he was leaving a sinking ship.He left to go to a sinking ship.

I reckon we're showing some improvement, perhaps not at the rate of the Dogs, but the trendline is up over the past two seasons. Certainly not sinking anyway.

Thats because the dogs had a very good list to build on. Wonder who created that ;D

If in three years time our list is as good as theirs is now I think most will be pretty happy. But it took quite a while before the Doggies list got to where it is now.

Anyone remember who else was after him at the time ? I think there may have been something of a bidding war for them wasn't there ?

It was collingwood...

Agreed, though makes some of our anti-Otto ramblings a tad hypocritical though ;)
Nah Otto's a pea brained softcock who got paid megabucks on the back of one good season and then ran after the big bucks at geelong because we were only gunna pay him what he was actually worth ( sweet Fanny Adams ).
At least Browneye was an established gun player when he decided to change clubs.

Little wonder seeing as he gives them an asswhipping every time he plays them.

Would be nice to see him back for round 3. :-\

interesting timing for this spat, march's reply smacks of a diversionary smoke screen to distract the supporters from the woeful onfield performance on sunday.
Absolutely spot on. Club is starting to look for distractions as it knows we are in for a LOOONG year and will Wallace and co will try anything to come out on top

Obviously Smorgon either cant let go of the fact Brown told them to shove their paltry offer, or he's just trying to drum up publicity for the club. Or both. Either way the whole outburst was a bit silly.

We've fired a shot back. It should all be done now. Move on "boys."

Coach v coach ...or player on player might mean something. But President of AFL Club v President of AFL Club is a bit like two back benchers having an argument imo.

Fair play.

Smorgan was looking to drum up some controversy, the Dogs are devoid of heated rivalries and believe it or not we are becoming there hated rival.

They may have a better team and some long term plans but they do not have a historic background with any club.

March did well, came back with some stinging blows and know we just what for the round 4 game. Brown has nothing to hand his head about he did nothing that a 100 before and a 100 after him will do.

I like a bit of media by play, doesn't hurt either club.

I thought Hawthorn lost. ???
