PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I'll try to summarise - not a lot new.

Cotch: back running; 4-5 weeks to get match conditioning; well on the road to recovery.

Geelong game: we've had a mixed pre-season; Geelong too good; our backline too short and got outmuscled and overpowered too easily; doesn't mean a lot as we had Simmo off most of 2nd half and experimented down back; we'll put our best foot forward in Rd 1.

Carlton game: spotlight is on Carlton therefore a good target; performance on the field more important than off field stuff; Not just about Carlton but also Rd's 2 and 3 before going interstate; Expecting a massive crowd - unfortunate it's a Carlton home game.

Spying: Any ban won't work; tough to have closed sessions at Punt Rd - can only change times and venues; John Vickery the boxing coach gives evil eyes to spies (not sure if this was a joke or not!); Possible only solution is to agree a closed session with opponent and respect that, but even that may not work.

Terry: Tuesdays with Terry to continue; he was appointed to win games, plan for the future and promote the club which is why he did so much; only recently has the promotional side been reduced.

As I said, nothing newsworthy.
