What does the "long term injury list" actually mean? Is there a minimum time a player can be placed on it for? Could Cotchin play for Coburg if he's on the list?

No once he is fit he is promoted back on the list and the rookie list player is placed back on the rookie list and only eligible for Coburg.
With slight injuries to Will and McGuane, Silvestor may be a chance. Apparently has played well in intra club matches and is a likely starter Friday night.

Who cares if us supporters dont know who is on the injury list. We should all have memberships anyway if we are loyal. Its not big news if a young player is unfit !! Who cares, lets just get on with supporting the best club in the AFL with the players that run out on the day.

You mean the same Varcoe who didnt fire amongst a side that was in red hot form at both AFL and VFL level?

To right Cap. I don't think the lawnmower man would of cut the grass on Skilled either.

I didn't know you were a JON fan.............bat hard for him. ;)

Especially if Collard carve's it up Friday night! ;)

I watched Connors street Collard in the extra running the pair had to do on Sunday, they ran laps for about 15 minutes and by time they had finished Connors was well over a half lap ahead.
Collard looks like a bit of a slug at the moment, 15 minutes or running and he was sucking in the big ones!

Cam Howat looks to walk back onto the list!

I'm sure the decision of promotion won't be made until a lot closer to round one. at the moment surely collard would be the logical choice though

let's just hope he impresses in the coming weeks. not cam howat please

its tidbits of info like this that inform us all about things the club would know and the general public or supporters wouldnt. thanks rv.

If this is the case, then it reinforces the "fitness" cloud he's been under since he arrived. Remember when Polak arrived he mentioned that he'd never experienced a preseason like ours at Freo so hopefully Collard will feel the same and realise that its no easy street anymore.

My gut feeling is that Collard himself is aware of his weakness(s) and has been told in no uncertain terms so by the club. He knows whats ahead for him and hopefully he'll work hard to improve his engine.

THe devils advocate in me says he will always be a lazy player and will just try and get by with his skilset (which is incredible) abut as we've all witnessed with Krakouer, theres much more to it than skills.

It's good to hear that after 15 minutes of running he was sucking in the big ones, if he wasn't then he'd be not trying hard enough to improve his aerobic capacity.
If he keeps working on this, them hopefully we can get the best out of him on the big stage.
