How many times have you herd... Our finances werent the best, the list wasnt the best, we are improving even though it doesnt show on the ladder? They always make excuses and Danny Frawley had every right to pay out on Wallace and fans who always blammed him for what has happened even until this year.
When Wallace first came in, he was saying Im sure we will play finals within a few years, the old players wont want to miss out on finals. Before last season he was asking for finals, we all bought that. I dont buy their crap anymore.

He had every right did he??? This bloke put the club back 10 years with his handeling of the list. Do you remember names such as Weller, Morrison, Sziller, Billy Nicholls. Oh lets not forget how he treated Matthew Knights. One of the tigers most respected players to have put on a jumper in the last 10 years. Give me a break. For all we know he probably wore St. Kilda socks whilst he was coaching against them.

Takes at least that long. Even longer if you have had five years of poor drafting before you start to rebuild the list because you have a whole core of players you need to shift while trying to develop young replacement kids up to the required size and experience needed to replace the duds that should be the mainstay of your playing list.

it was millers job to look after the list first and foremost and most of those duds arrived because of him not frawley

spud was a rubbish coach but dont blame him for throwing away draft picks and picking up rejects because it shouldnt of been his decisions to make if the bloke in charge was doing his job properly (miller)

Thats an interesting point Rocky Marciano. Exactly whose job it is. Surely the head coach would have a fair say in who get recruited otherwise he might as well not be the coach if he can't build the team he thinks will bring success.

Where did Greg Beck fit into all this......

Well IMO the person who SHOULD be calling the shots is the person in charge of the ENTIRE BLOODY FOOTBALL DEPARTMENT.

Agree Gus, I think realistically many under-estimate the input of the coach when making recruitment decisions. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall to know the truth. Most are just speculating.
