3. When running into I50, run further & have a few more shots.

Just my opinion.

This is what he lost around 2002. Previously, he would run hard into the forward line and nearly always take a shot. Around 2002 he started to miss more of these than he nailed and lost all confidence in his ability to kick running goals. He is only just starting to do it again.

My guess is that his errors started to weigh him down or that he has carried some sort of OP type injury which affected his kicking during this period.

As V.P. of the R.O.C. Rocket it's my duty to inform all of you nice people about how no.32 is going at the moment. Apart from a lull for two games where the rest of the team struggled Greg has been having an excellent year. He has sacrificed his natural attacking game at times to shutdown an opposition midfielder such as his games against Goodwin & Harvey where although they got the ball their effectiveness was limited due to the positions Tivva had forced them into on the ground.

He kicked a raking left goal on the weekend and has been 10 times the player of past years. Now i'm not going to say he is in our best every week but so far this year i'd say he would've been in the best at least 7 out of 11 times. A remarkable turnaround for a player who everyone wanted traded at the end of last year. Good work Tivva and keep those rocket legs pumping.

P.S. Stay tuned for my Darren Gaspar idolisation thread. ;)
Even though he has improved from last year he still is a hack.Hopefully he can play well he might be good trade bait.

tivs effective disposal is at 58% ineffective at 42%.

While looking for the effectiveness stat I saw Richo is 3rd in the league for errors.  How does the error stat compare to the effectiveness one?  Whatever the stats shmats say Richo's positives far outweigh his negatives.

as is said perception!!! every richo miss 4 goal is calculated as an error thats why his stas are high, richos errors on the main dont cost us rebounding goals!! petts errors % went way up after the bombers game , why, because of all his missed goals

richo is not a good example to use to compare to tiv. sorry just my opinion

My perception is your stats are wrong. Where did you get 42% from? I find it unbelievable that anyone can really question Tivendale's performance this year. He has been very consistent and very important to the team balance this year. Still drills the ball a little for my liking but nevertheless cant deny his improved performance this year.

Cheers

Still drills the ball a little for my liking...

What? Don't tell me he's been doing it all these years just for your pleasure GO? ;) ;D

I suspect that many of his I50's form a large part of his ineffective disposals (the drilling passes doesn't help one iota)...which makes the I50's a very subjective stat to start basing worth upon IMO...often as not they eventually become a team turnover if they're not executed right. Having said that, I50's are arguably the hardest area of the ground to get an 'effective' stat, so you have to give him a bit of grace due to that fact.
