Hands up all those who have read the article in today's Sun by Jon Ralph reporting Griffen's sledge.
I was so upset I decided to email the club, attention Terry Wallace and Greg Miller. For some reason the "contact us" site is not working.
Seldom have I been so distressed over an article. If true, and there is no reason to suspect otherwise, then shame, Richmond, shame.
In all my many years of being a member and supporter, Richmond, win lose or draw have always had the reputation of being fearless, frightening and strong. To think we gave up and were arguing amongst ourselves is something not to be contemplated.
Those, again if true, should be disciplined and dropped to the 2's for a week or two. More worrying though, is the mindset. One may ask if this is endemic to the culture at Tigerland??
Like most, I can wear a loss, even of that magnitude, but to "give up" and to let the opposition "go" is contrary to all the Richmond Football Club has stood for in the past. Jack Dyer would be turning in his grave, as I squirm today.
