Griffiths

Yes... Could be a gun forward with quick delivery, see Freo game last year, but...
Has a kicking fault at close range that is easy to fix, buggered if I know why it has not been.

I'm pretty sure that if we put an average offer in front of Vickery (and take him off the table) Hawthorn will come sniffing around Griffens.

Griffiths 2/3s better player: leaps in packs and can clunk a contested mark; much better all-round kick; much better in ruck contests. No-brainer.

Are either good enough as the 2ic in the forward half leon ?

This has been easily Big Bennys best year and clearly his best game of his career was against the Swans when he kicked 5 crucial goals, fwiw this year is the only season in his career where he has kicked more goals then games played 14 from 13.

Could be a star in a decent team.

Can't say that for Vickery.

Keep Griffiths at all costs.
Do you think Jinx in 014-15 when we played finals and he played 16 an 13 games respectively that he had the chance to become a star , but instead he averaged 9 touches and kicked only 24 goals from those 29 games, not forgetting in those games he had Jack in the same forward line getting the best key back as well as a lot more double teaming ?

Would be interested to see who had more currency with a team in the premiership window. I'd be tipping Vickery.

yep, in dreamland Griff has more 'upside'. more athletic, booming kick. but TV has consistently performed better than him over his career. for all the flak TV gets, currently well deserved, he has played a lot more good football than Griff, and he has shown, occasionally, that he can be a good footballer.

Yeah. Ty's stunk it up this year, but still managed 26 goals. In a good side with a coach and team-mates kicking his arse he could do a lot better.

In Ben's favour he's a year younger. Still time.

I know which one I'd keep and it isn't Vickery. Most pathetic tall we've had since Richard Lounder.

Agree that it's time for Griffiths to stand up but there's still time. Don't think Vickery will ever improve regardless of who he plays for. What a waste.

You will be waiting a very long time for Griffens too. Nothing to excited about.
Both very average

If Griff didn't excite you in the Swans victory, Zipps, you've already moved on to the netherworld. Explains a few things.

One game .Jesus how long has he played for now? I pretty sure Vickery has been bog in 2 games.
Don't defend the undefendable. He is the Softest man since Agus Graham

Remains uncontracted to my knowledge. Wonder what the plan is?
Have we got another ruckman in mind? Another KPF?
I sense he might get shopped to see what he might fetch and if there's enough interest he'll be elsewhere next season.

With Vickery all but gone, would find it strange that Griff would go as well. Also Chaplin Maric & Mckenzie gone we are light on for talls

That's what I keep thinking/hoping that we have a Ruck an a KPF signed, surely with TV, Chappy, Maric, Mckenzie and McBean all gone and not in a hurry to re sign Griffiths, there has to be something in the pipeline.

I'm in the same boat as you Tigers of Old. It's all well and good if we put Griff on the trade table but who do we have or are we going to get to play back up ruck/2nd or 3rd tall forward?
We all know young talls take 4 to 5 years to come good, Ty cannot ruck to save himself and is a cardboard cut out up forward. Soldo and Chol are light years away...
I reckon against Geelong we were missing Griff who takes contested marks in packs, he would've provided a target for the backs kicking out allowing us to at least get the ball past half back. This is an area where we struggled particularly in the last quarter.

Has McBean already gone??? News to me...
