LOL, otherwise you couldn't add that last line eh :hihi

Crikey, all types

More often than not you post drivel but occasionally there's some interesting points.

I even read zippadeee posts occasionally.your not too dissimilar to each other.

Why bothering mentioning it at all maps?

No one cares.

We could be contending like the Dogs are. We aren't.

We *smile*ed it up. No one else.

so you can make an assertion, but if somebody dares to refute that assertion its all 'nobody cares, why bother'? Good one

got to give it to them on that ;D. brilliant strike rate

Yep, but we've finally cottoned on, we're doing the same, we'll have the luxury of picking juniors from the Vickery/Ellis/Tamblings clans in 20 years time. Hopefully with a bit of luck the Hampson/Hunt's can get to the 100 games as well.

I wish I could remember your posts dude, at least then I could provide feedback.

You clearly don't understand my post.

I mean that no one outside the club's most ardent supporters cares that we were somehow 'the most affected by compromised drafts'.

It's pathetic crap.

Loser mentality.

They mightn't care but plenty outside the club have said it and accept it as the reality of what happened. It was just reality AFAIC. They happened. The worse off you were the worse you were affected. Other sides that were down and did better were better organisations than us definitely.

No club helped itself less than Richmond during the concession period.

Botched it. Only get better off the back off players that were there before that period started.

Look, whatever helps you through the night.

If it was a factor at all, it was minuscule in the scheme of things and bringing it up is laughable.

Done, dusted. Move on. No more excuses.

have a look at their father son benefits. Tony Libba, Cordy, Hunter, Wallace (didnt play) this also helps in getting talent with higher picks
Not quite but a similar draft bonus as the Cats had a decade or so earlier with their group of father sons all coming in as later picks and growing together.
Some astute early picks n just at this point it's tracking very similar.

Compromised draft period certainly didn't do us any favours, pity we made it even worse by being fairly bloody poor at recruiting during this period as well.

Done and dusted defs. We move on, of course. No arguments there. But it wasn't a miniscule factor, you might find it laughable but I don't. I thought it was an injustice at the time and I still do. This discussion is about the historical record. The compromised drafts happened, they impeded our progress. Full stop.

But you'll have to have the last word so away you go. kool aid, apologists, laughable, etc slather on that hyperbole

Impeded our progress? *smile*.

Hardwick impeded our progress.

Benny impeded our progress with timid decisions this year.

The so-called compromised drafts still represented immense opportunity for ANY club with half a clue.

Hardwick's failure matters.

This whingy crap you keep going on about doesn't.

'so called', good one. as a rhetorical device, it's one of my favourites. Just stick it in front of any concept you don't like and it disappears! The so-called nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima. The so-called Great Barrier Reef etc. The so-called broken leg that Browny got. It is a pisser.

You'd think our picks had been completely removed.

So much woe is me whinging.
