Mckenna off the list.
Hardwick should be our number one priority. Hopefully no other side picks him up.

What are you on about?

Who said Hardwick was going any where from the hawks?

Congrats to Bluey McKenna on his appointment and good luck.

Hes certainly had a good grounding under Worsfold and Mickey Mouse as player and assistant.

I don't think you can put much weight on McKenna's Claremont days, that was a long time ago.

Good luck to him, one more temptation Richmond don't need removed. :P

Better yet, hopefully this ensures McCrae stays at Punt Rd.

It does have some interesting possible long term implications however.

Most rate Buckley as a future (certain?) coach of Collingwood, many insiders say McKenna would have been next up.

The mad were even whispering some new rumours about Clement lol.

Point being, with Buckley not at Collingwood in a official capacity, yet anyway. McKenna at Goldcoast and as a result in a box seat for the big gig.

Leaves very interesting scenario for Malthouse's eventual successor. It would not suprise me in the slightest to see a dark horse like Brad Scott end up coaching Collingwood next. I rate him highly. His brother is a bit of a moron (coaching at freo, nuff said) but Brad is going to be a superb coach I think.

Scott obviously has ambition (plenty of assistant coaches do not and prefer comfort zones), I would be wrapped if we could steal him from Collingwood (probably dreaming, but i would think Wallace's tenuous hold on the top job next year might make a natural predator, like Harvey did at Freo, smell the blood and think it worth a experience)

Spot on. I know for a fact McRae was very close to getting this role and, for the type of role that it will entail for the next few years (i.e. junior development), I believe McRae would have been the best candidate. For Richmond, it's ideal that they (mistakenly ?) overlooked McRae as he should be around now for at least another 2 years.

Richmond kills off yet another promising coaching career. ;)
