Guy Richards on our radar

1 more year witha dud ruck division and then we sshould have a young fijian ruckman, if we draft him of course
and you are perhaps thinking of throwing him in the deep end straight away. dont expect anything out of talls taken no matter how high they are rated for at least 2 yrs.

lets just say we had kruezer in the bag the onus woul;d still be on us to get a big bodied mature ruckman while kruezer develops. hudson or king would not have been stupid if we had a young ruckman in mind for this draft.

This was Miller's big ploy in trade week. Chase more skinny contest avoiding flankers and give up a high draft pick and pay astronomically over market value. Because he knew he would be able to pick up a quality KPP or ruckman like Richards, Bradley or Whitnall in the PSD.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

*smile* Miller's a joke.

How many times are you Darksiders going to repeat yourselves. Trust me, we get your (and all the other naysayers) point about skinny flankers so tell me why do you classify yourselves as RFC supporters?

To all you Darksiders....Do you need to slag off your club endlessly to feel better about yourselves? Are your lives so shallow that you feel compelled to direct your frustrations at your footy club because you haven't got the guts to direct your energies into something more worthwhile? Do you enjoy bringing all and sundry down with you? I enjoy my footy and love my team, not least because of the feeling of collegiality it brings with it, but sheesh, you Darksiders feel obliged to make the experience as miserable as possible. And yet reading Darksider posts is like coming across a car accident...its sickening but I can't look away and yet your whinging, misery and masochism make me feel like a better person. I cannot understand why you all insist on banging on about the negatives. For gawds sake, take up yoga and calm down.

Ooooh, I feel better now.
what bloody positives are there to enthuse about. cmon tell me what we got right this trade period.

Point is Claw we still have the ND and the pre-season draft to come.

We might not have a choice as we have backed ourselves into a corner.

If Simmonds doesn't come up or if he goes down, then we are up sh1t creek without a paddle. Graham is hopeless and Patto struggles in the ruck. We have no other options. This is what happens when you don't plan your list structure appropriately - you panick and you recruit your Richards, Knobel, Kingsley, Graham etc. out of desperation.

the writing was on the wall when we didnt get wood in 04, then in 05 missed out on bailey and last season didnt replace staff because we thought knobel would come up lmao

now we are relying on graham to suddenly improve 300% just to get up to a competitive standard at afl level

Wrong there Irockz.

In 2006 we were going to take Renouf but the Hawks got in before us

Are u out of ur mind, wood has done NOTHING in 3 years thats why he has been moved on, patto has done 10 times better than wood....
If wood was at the RFC u would be bagging him no doubt!

wood has done as much as what any other developing ruckman in his first 3 seasons is expected to do, patto has had more gametime but thats only because of the respective ruck stocks of both sides, we dont have depth and are relying on patto while the lions were rotating through 4 ruckman this season thus not much opportunity for wood

lions are letting him go because they have charman and luenberger who could be the best ruck duo in years to come, better to let go of wood now while he is a high price rather than keep him playing qafl and then getting a 3rd rounder next season
