An I right in observing other teams employing a press at half forward when we get the ball in the back line. It clogs up the space for handball and stops our run thru the corridor.

On the other hand when our opponents get the ball we take off like rabbits to flood our back line giving the opposition a free stroll down the wing.

I think the world has moved on and our coaches haven't noticed.

That's exactly what happens. They punch us up at our half back. Our players are too light and lack the skill under pressure to move the ball in this traffic. And even if they can get clear they anticipate pressure (jump at shadows) and cough it up. Or sometimes just cough it up.

One of the easiest things to set up in a footy team at any level is drive off half back. You need line breakers. We don't have enough blokes doing this. These blokes are not rare (except at Richmond). Why, after four years of Wallacedom, we still don't have any is hilariously inexplicable.

Spot on ol' geezers.

Its a misnomer that we go wide. We actually try & go through the corridor from CHB to Centre where possible. They are certainly the instructions given.

Its just that all other teams know this, they also know how poor we are by foot & as you say we will cough it up in this area under pressure.

Whereas we just love sitting back, zoning off & corralling so teams can cut us up by foot under little to no pressure.

Wallet has read the game & its future very poorly. Its a big reason why his coaching career is finished.
