Could not have happened to a better person. :clap :clap :clap
Still rember what he did to Jay.

What? He tackle'd him at a 100 miles per hour.

If a yellow and black jumper did that we would be rapt. It was a accident, he was concerned with JS's safety. Had this debate last year.

Absolutely correct, he is no Milne, Baker or P-Train, either on or off the field. Played it hard and fair and deserves our commiseration’s not our contempt.
was is always wiil be a softcock sniping piece of dung.tygrys can you name i hard at it player in the mould of g. archer that this soft *smile* ever had had a crack at ?????overated never was sniper. contempt all the way

I don't mind the way Hamill plays if it's within the rules.
Yes the tackle on Schulz was 'hard and fair' and we were all taught to tackle that way since we were kids however...as I said earlier in the thread, under the new rules that tackle would be deemed dangerous and likely reportable.

Unlike Rugby League our game does not allow players the oportunity to brace themeselves for such impact when hit from a blind position. Driving a player into the ground with their arms pinned is an accident waiting to happen.

Whilst I think it's further softening up the game, if it prevents serious injuries like the one Jay sustained then it's not a bad thing. The main idea in our game is to dispossess the player and win a free kick. Not hurt people and put them in hospital.

Are you seriously and honestly suggesting that no clubs had leadership groups before G Thomas became 'a coach'?

Hamill is a dog. Yes he does a lot of 'one percenters' but for 500k a year I would want a consistent match-winner or at least, a player who gets the ball reasonably often.
If you and The Aints fans are happy to pay him 500k for his output, while being able to look past his weekly dog acts, then that is up to you.
I maintain that I am glad he is not at the RFC.
Wait for the bleating to begin when this guy can't get on the fiel anymore and still has 2 or 3 years left on his contract. I doubt Saints fans will be happy to pay a guy a million dollars to settle the contract.
Maybe you could offer him seven cents in the dollar, like you did with everyone and everything else down there a few years back.
love your work nostradamus :clap :clap :clap

Having seen the game played since the sixties and when there were some real hard men and some hair raising violent acts, all I can say is Hamill would not have survived long term any time back then.

His despicable low act mongrel sniping (knees almost exclusively) would have quickly earnt the ire of many a teams enforcers. How I'd love to see him face up to a Neil Balme, Carl Ditterich, John Nicholls or Ron Andrews after kneeing a hapless honest guy with his eyes on the ball.

To call him a hard man, fierce tackler etc etc is purely wrong, he reeks of cheap shots in a game where retribution has been all but wiped out.

Hamill deserves venom, contempt and vitriol from us all not any form of modest praise.

And if we are lucky enough to find one hidden away in a dark and dusty cupboard I will be happy to cheer him on.
Rotten rough nut *smile* that made all his team mates walk just that little bit taller, and every club would love to have one.

Just watching a bit of the suburban game between the Aints and Lions, and just noticed that former Dog Shane Birss is wearing 22 at St Kilda, so through curiosity, I found out that Muppet Arms has been presented with the famous and popular guernsey number for anyone to wear...17 !!

Must be a joke. ???
