Stole my thunder, we were just talking about this in the chat.
Worst part of our game.
Is this what they are being trained to do?
I've actually come to the conclusion that they dont "train" at all. They train what they're going to do on match day, and listen to Wallaces tactical *smile* all week, but they forget the most easiest of basics. If you gave my grandma a footy, and gave her the option of handpassing it, or kicking it long, i think she'd go the latter.
Our coach every week, never shutsup, but I thank him for it, because I never forget when I'm on the footy field.
1) Shepherd always
2) Never walk on a footy field
3) When in trouble, kick it long, handpassing only shifts the pressure onto your teammate.
4) When it's your turn to tackle, you do it, and do it hard
5) Play like its your last game ever.
Backing up your teammates, talking to them, chasing, all these basics, if you do them well, you will go places. No matter how many tactics you have. Thats all crap. These guys are footballers, when they step out on the field, instinct and talent takes over. You dont ever think about Wallets sh!tty tactics.
Wallace, needs to reinforce these basics back into the players minds, not only will it be great to watch, but it also strengthens the bond within the playing group, they trust each other more.
