ST KILDA champion Robert Harvey has joined Carlton as an assistant coach after rejecting a full-time position with the Saints.

Good get by Carlton. As much as I hate to admit it, they're clawing their way back to the top quickly.

Boo !!

I am gutted a quality bloke like Harvey is going to associated with that filth. I wish them all of the worst and desperately hope that their club suffers some off field embarrassment over the summer. They are filthy cheating scum, and have done nothing but increase their chance of a salary cap blowout in 2010, by paying overs for Warnock, Judd and Fev.

Was just about to post this myself. The scum certainly aren't afraid to spend.

they are indeed :'(

Now there's talk of them taking O'Keefe in the PSD, $2M over 4 years.

I would have preferred Harvey in a role at Richmond than Wayne Campbell, I think he has more to offer.

You're a gambler?

Campbell has received high praise in his two (?) years as an assistant coach, whereas Harvey is untried.

That is a given - honestly as much as i admire Campbell, he is nothing on Harvs. I suppose wait and see - he by the sounds of things has done ok at the dogs. I'm not a person who thinks that if a person has spent lengthy periods at a club then it is a given he comes back ala Wallace. Will be interesting to see what he brings back to the club though. Good luck Wayno.

I just always thought that WC was a bit selfish as a player, Harvey a better 'team-man', and had a more distinguished career, not that that means necessarily that he will be a better coach.

The way they played has little to do with the way they coach.
Great footballer but listening to Harvs speak he's hardly the most inspiring bloke going.. :sleeping

Let's just see how Campo goes, I reckon he will be an asset myself.

Surprized that he would get into it so soon.

Good luck to them, personaly I dont care one way or another, he was a champion player but coaching is different.
