Has pettifer melted?

Normally such a reliable kick and a person along Staff you would want to have a shot at goal needing to win but gee both have been terrible.

What about Brett Deleido his kicking for goal was shocking. Why do our players run so close to the amn on the mark and then have to get right underneath the kick and miss shots.

Actually, I was suprised by Lids missing those 2 fairly easy shots at goal. He is usually a great kick at goal. He looked really out of sorts on Saturday night like he wasn't feeling well or something. Did anyone else notice this?

Stripes i agree. Brett i feel is finding the extra attention he is being given now tough at times.

But i am sure he will come good.

What a game by Harts though ! Hit targets and ran well and took on as per Terry's licence to the kids such as Raines and Harts.

Tagged by a good player in McVeigh. Don't worry, once he gets used to the attendion he'll be right. His kicks for goal were disappointing but he remains our best long distance field kick to position. I would lilke to see more run and carry (a la Raines and Hartigan) and more kicks for goal from beyond 45. His versatility will forever remain a great asset of his. I would even like to see some spells off half back.

Our young kids are coming on so well you can tag Lids and someone else is bound to step up - like MARCO POLO!

LOL...you might want to think about the fact that we wouldn't be having this conversation if you hadn't leapt at the opportunity to mention me personally with the aim of ridiculing my opinion...using a misquote seeing nothing real or factual was at hand... ;)

Good to see someone raising "Pets" performance last weekend.

I thought that he provided the Tiges with their only mobile forward target, that could take clear possession, in the first half of the game.
It was unfortunate that most of those marks were taken 45-55 metres out, stretching his kicking range.
His preparedness to chase into the back half, and rebound the ball on occassions from defense may indicate that he may be developing into a better allround footballer and may become a midfield option.

Well done "Pets".

Amazing when a team does well how everyone lifts their games to a new level.
(You see it at junior level footy & cricket too.)

Watched a replay of the 2nd half yesterday and noted, similarly to Phanto, the great job Pettifer did providing a mobile target. He was basically playing that hitup CHF the way Hansen does for WCE. If he'd kicked straight as weknow he usually does, his performance would have been (dare I say it Lamby!) ... elite!

Great game.

He burned them up. Was almost Ryan O'Keefe like at CHF. Was pushing hard into the middle and back half. Very much the all round game from Kanye. Be interesting to see how he goes this week. Won't get as much space to roam nor will he be played as loose. Probably get the Irish lad, who Kane needs to pay the utmost respect to if we don't have the ball. Big week this week in the development of Petts.

I just brought up your view that Pets had an average game in a thread that is discussing Pettifer. Yes I do think your opinion in this case is ridiculous. But hey, differing opinions is what makes the world go round :o
