yes, i understand there are 13 games to go and we need to keep a lid on it. but this is how i see it: this time last year, we were 7-2. but i feel we are doing better this year in comparison. our draw is a lot harder and our kids have advanced 12 months. most would agree that 5-4 is a great result and only the ultimate optimist would have expected us to have 5 wins on the board after round 9. i'm not saying we're gonna make the 8, but we must be in with a chance.
the question i would like to pose is this... will the adelaide game be the turning point for the RFC? in 3-4 years time, will we look back at that game as the catalyst for our success? will this be the game the boys became men?
we won the geelong game yesterday because we backed ourselves in to win. confidence is an amazing thing in footy... would we have won yesterday if we'd lost to adelaide? have we come of age?
