Its been intresting that Kennett wont go on the footy show and has moved to ban Crawford and Dermie from apearing in the footy show ..he keeps on referning to Hawthorn as a brand not a footy club and says its all about the Hawthorn Brand ...so is Hawthon not a footy club anynmore  ;D

The facts put forward by Kennett imo are absolutely correct.I've met Eddie and when it comes to football the only thing he cares about is Collingwood.The FOOTY SHOW is the most important single factor in Collingwoods marketing success and every time other players contribute to that success they shoot their own clubs in the foot.Browny and Richo should be no part of it.
 
I dont mind footballers being on the footy show, but I have no time for board members to be appearing on it. I dont care if he is a past player, I enjoy listening to current players.

Agree Andy. Remember good old league teams with Jack, Lou and Bobby Davis.They all supported their teams but that didn't overwhelm,it was just a very relaxed part of the humour.

Here's hoping! Plus, with Seven back we may even get *something* on free-to-air telly that covers Sunday game roundups - something those of us who are unable to get Foxtel for various reasons have missed out on greatly this year with our sabbath-centric draw.

I used to be a big fan of the Footy Show. However, I cant stand it anymore.

Sam used to be funny. Now he is too predictible and acts like an inmature jerk, who is only there to attempt to make others look stupid.

As for Eddie, I cant stand how one can be so biased. Everytime someone plugs a sponsor, Eddie has to mention all the Collingwood sponsors.

Since channel nine have got the footy coverage, they dont use it much on the show.

I must prefer watching the NRL footy show, as it is entertaining to watch, you dont get a biased host plugging each and everyone of their sponsors.

Appart from plugging all Collingwoods sponsors, he has little impact on the show at all. We'd certainly not missed him if he wasnt to appear on the show.

As for Jeff Kennett, it's going to give everyone more reason to hate Hawthorn. I know Hawthorn supporters whom are going to vito Kennett and will refuse to purchase a membership if that moran is in charge. Kennett ran the Australian Soccer League, and ruined it further. Polictics and sport just dont mix. Next we'll try to become the Arch Bishop of Melbourne.

In all honesty, i don't see how this is possible. How can Sam make anyone look stupid?!? ??? ???

Spooky I was almost going through word for word what I wanted to state about the Footy Show. These are my exact thoughts which I have posted before.

Eddie got his nose out of joint & was trying to bully Kennett by threatening to ban Hawthorn players appearing on the show to force Kennett to appear. A power play. Its not a about footy its about who controls who. This use to be a great show, but they have lost the plot.

I actually enjoy watching Fox Footy league teams. If Ch7 get the rights, this is a great show that I hope they air. Dunstall, Sheehan, Swarz & Barnes. No angled plugs, just footy !
 
As for Kennett, personally don't like the guy apart from getting us the Grand Prix.

I hope he boycotts the footy show & tells them where to stick it. Go Jeff Go. :clap

The more clubs refuse the more the screws are tightened to its demise.
 
Kennett will be good for the Hawks and as far as the Footy show, haven't watched it for years.. Newman was an overrated player and a jerk on the TV.
