I just read this article (well as much as I could) and was interested by this comment by Clarkson.

"We have had a strong focus on getting the structure and spine of our club settled and we now feel we have got the best group of 18 to 20-year-old key position players in the competition,".

also

"We have done a lot of research and presented a premiership model to the club looking primarily at what had been key parts of premiership teams. Brisbane of 2001-03 was the most recent example of a side that was very formidable down the spine of the ground and we have looked to re-build that area of the club over the last three drafts."

It will be interesting to see how our respective sides perform. Clarkson seems to be hanging his hopes on KPPs where we are more looking at speed in the midfield.

I suppose only time will tell which is the better philosophy. Maybe they are equally worthy, just different.

Not knowing the Hawks list all that well (sorry just not interested at all), do they have any midfielders coming through or are they looking at a bit of a shortage in that area?
