PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

After 29 years as a Tiger supporter I have had disappointment as a constant companion. But FFS today took the biscuit! I left not long into the third quarter but me and few mates did do a little experiment before I left. We decided to pick a player or two and watch them exclusively for while, mostly because we were sure they were coasting. And we were right! The most disappointing part was that one of the players was Lids. He is probably the most skillful and gifted bloke at our club yet is often not even in OUR best when he should be leading the comp! I watched McMahon and was amazed that a bloke on his $$$$ could live with himself while doing ABSOLUTELY nothing for large chunks of the game. I watched him for ten minutes as he strode around (never even breaking into a canter) in the empty space staying well away from any contest or opposition player. The only possession he got was a kick-in, and honestly with his turn-over rate I'd rather he didn't do that either.

I saw four blokes put in an honest effort today. Cuz, Titch, King and Hislop. Maybe ad Nahas. That's appalling out of 22! I invite all supporters to play this game until seasons end. I won't be but I'll enjoy reading your reports.
