Calf injury = likely to be out for 3 weeks.

Karma Bombers

I do feel sorry for him personally, because I regard him highly as a person and as player. However those cocky Bombers really sh!t me. Lloyd's statements this week regarding his new captaincy were a true reflection of their arrogance. I hope they spiral further down the ladder until the wooden spoon spanks their backsides.

They are talking top 4 and finals before round 1. They might have a few good KPPs, but their midfield lacks pace and depth. Time will tell!

I seriously hate them >:D

no sympathy for james *smile* from me. bottom 4 for bombers this year whether he plays or not. i just saw on white line fever that caroline wilson has tipped essendon to make the top 4. is she one of the 3 people who tested positive to recreational drugs? sheesh!

Thats no news flash poor ol Hirdy is injured more than he is on the field no wonder the boy wants to retire.

Hird is a champion.

Never enjoy seeing any player injured, no matter who the team is.

Well said Oldie but mark my words there are a few that i am happy to not see playing ;D ;D no names tho :hihi

Hirdy is a champion and there would not be too many tiger fans that would not have had James at RFC over the past 10 years or so.

Agree that Hird is an absolute champion of the game but outside of Collingwood and Hawthorn it couldnt have happened to a better team.
Hope pretty boy lloyd team gets the spoon this year.

Never good to see the genuine superstars out of the game (except when they play us :hihi)Without the top shelf players people simply dont go to the football and then all clubs suffer.Spoke to so many people who said they loved watching the Tiges early last year just to see Browny .

For Peter Caven's sake, I never really minded seeing Lockett get injured.

She's scared of getting another bollocking from Sheedy if she says anything nasty about his beloved Bombers.

I agree Nitro.
Aside from all the acolades, Hird gained my ultimate respect as a player and leader, when he returned from that horrific facial injury over at Freo a few years ago. First game back, threw himself at the ball again as if nothing had happened. Shook the "pretty boy" tag right there.
You talk about tough players in the AFL and Hird is high on my list. I can't stand the Bombers but...

saw pretty boy lloyd on the news the other night in his 'tough' talking voice (I cracked up laughing personally ;D ) saying he "didn't want to waste his time playing for a team that didn't make the finals". Here's hoping he retires this season then. :)

Correct, you cannot knock the great man. Not many better then him. Can do it all.
We probally won't fully comprehend how good he is till he is gone.

Hirdy has just had an MRI in Prahran and the results are better than first expected....

He said he even went for a Run this morning and it felt Good and he may even be a chance to front up on saturday night....

Essendon have named Hird in their team, with Camporeale and Heffernan.
Geelong have named Ottens and King.
