About time we saw this;

C- Polo Raines Deledio

With all the young talent coming through now there is no reason to hold them back any longer!

I still think Raines should play in the backline next year, but definetly give him more time in the midfield. Maybe he and Deledio could switch off half-back and into the middle?

Agree.
ATM Rainesy is a one season wonder.
He did an extremely valuable job last year. One more year at least in defence.

I agree. BTW, I'm sure TW is on record saying he wants Raines to get to the 50 game mark before going into the middle permanently.

If Raines gets the same amount of leather in 07 as he did this year,he won't care where he's playing!!

Raines will be needed in the backline.

Can't see him getting a leave pass until newman is 100% recovered.

With Travis Casserley showing great signs and with Newman returning, Raines will spend some time in the middle. I think our FUTURE backline will be as follows:

B: Newman Thursfield Bowden
HB: Casserley Polak Oakleigh Nicholls

A whole lot of run and carry and skill, but a bit of height there also with Thursfield, Bowden, Oakleigh - Nicholls and Polak over and around 190cm, and Casserley and Newman more medium types.

That would make our midfield in the future:

C: Deledio Polo Raines
R: Simmonds Coughlan Foley

Hardness, quickness and skill this midfield will be good....Foley is a bolter, he is fast becoming a great midfielder.

This looks more appealing:
C:Knobel,Kingsley,Hall
On a less serious note:
HB:Jon,Polak,Casserley
C:Tambling,Deledio,Edwards

Foley is fast becoming what?  What has Foley done to earn such accolades?

We jump on - and off - our players faster than fleas on a dog.  Fair dinkum.  Daniel Kerr is fast becoming a great midfielder - Foley is a country mile behind Kerr in his development...

Look at how many times the kid finds the pill. Then look at how long he actually spends on the ground.

I think you'll find he has a graph that is trending upwards at a rapid rate.

Personally i think Coughlan Tuck Johnson and Foley
are still our elite midfielders

but for later on, how's this?

C: Polo
RR: Raines
Rov: Tambling
wings: Oakleys/Deledio

At the moment this club does not have any elite midfielders.

Elite middfielders are the likes of Goodwin, Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Harvey, Goodes and the like and we aint got anyone in that bracket lets be honest now.

Our list has honest types that battle hard like Tuck and Cogs but they are not elite in my book.

And look at how much attention/respect he gets from the opposition when he's out there.... ::)
