Click on the Image button above the posting box. On the bottom row, second from the left...the picture frame one.

Paste the picture URL in the middle of the [ img] [ /img] that comes up.

Or you can just type (without the spaces) [ img] insert picture url address [ / img]

The picture needs to have an URL address. They can't be posted from where they're stored on yuor computer. If they don't have the URL you need to save them at a hosting site and get the URL from there. Photobucket.com is a good photo hosting site but there are several others.

The picture needs to be on the internet. Here is an example, typing:

Code:
[IMG]http://www.realfooty.com.au/ffximage/2008/05/17/GALL_CATS_SS3_gallery__470x330.jpg[/IMG]

will give

GALL_CATS_SS3_gallery__470x330.jpg

Another thing that some mightn't be aware of is that to get the URL of a picture on the net you can right click on it then click on "Properties" then copy and paste that address between the img tags.

The images have to have an URL address. You upload them on a hosting site, like Photobucket, from where they're saved on your computer then use the URL it gives.

One thing for those web gurus out there.

How do you change a link 'name' and still get it to work as a link?

eg. Turn

http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/mikesheahan/index.php/heraldsun/comments/cousins_still_waiting_for_redemption/

into

Cousins seeking a 2nd chance

and still click through to the link?

Help appreciated.

url=http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/mikesheahan/index.php/heraldsun/comments/cousins_still_waiting_for_redemption/] Cousins seeking 2nd chance [/url

The example above has the outside tag brackets removed. Inside the url] end type = then the address and then write the name you want it to say in between the tag ends

Cousins seeking 2nd chance
