How dumb are you RFC?

As Michael Roach is down at the club, he should be Richo's mentor and really work on his kicking.
Disco's been down there for years showing him how to kick and Richo still can't get it. Learn to live with it because as great a player as he is, it's a flaw in his game and has been throughout his career. The trick is to get him further out from goal so he can utilise his superior athleticism and marking ability without punishing us because of his crap coversion.
He can't be be the only one who can kick us a score or Terry's wish for 16 goals a game remains a pipedream. I don't buy this Alistair Lynch comparison. Lynch was a reliable shot at goal.

I'm sick of this footy side being a one dimensional laughing stock of the AFL!!!!!!

This is how I'd line em up when the real stuff starts...

HF Lids   Richo   Petiffer
FF Brown Schulz Stafford

Except for Stafford you would be pretty much on the mark ToO. :clap :clap

Thanks Tubs. Staff's my only question mark too, not ideal. The rest I'm very happy with.
By no means am I saying Richo's not a great player. He's a superstar but he's not a great FF. Not an accurate enough goal kicker to be relied on when the chips are down. Simple as that.

Richo's performance has a very big impact on the morale of the other senior players.

Imagine busting your guts to kick it to your best foward, and then he run too close to the player on the mark and kicks it out on the full :-X

imagine busting your gut leading once, twice, 3 times and then some slack midfielder eventually when he does see you kicks it straight over your head onto your opponents chest who you had 10 metres on. :o :o :o

Imagine having a midfield that can actually kick it to a leading forward, not 20 metres over his head, 20 metres in fornt of him, or straight to an opponent :P The Cow has his faults but they are not the biggest problems at RFC. Let's start with the vast majority on the list that kick worse than my 90 year old grandmother.

Richo's kicking will continue as it has all career. He'll miss some easy ones & kick some really good goals. We know what we get with Richo & there are more positives than negatives.

Assuming he plays 20 games how many goals are you predicting from him this season MB?

YEP! And he buys the club some time until someone is ready. No one is ready yet.

Richo's strike-rate per game is 3.0, exactly the same as Michael Roach's. Only Jack Titus(3.3) did better from players who have played at least 50 games for us.

WTF has lloydy got to do with RFC?

its a simple question......how many career goals has richo kicked and how many has lloydy kicked?
they both pretty much have played the same amount of games

Mate,if Lloydyyy was at Richmond from day one,he would have half the amount of goals Richo has,Richo has had poor delivery to him all his career.Lloydyyy has had the pill passed to him lace out all his AFL life.
RFC coaches should have been tuff on Richo from day one with his kicking unfortutaly our coaching staff have been weak towards our high profile players.Richo would be a superstar in the Voss,Hird,Carey catergory if he was coached by a Sheedy,Mathews,Jeans from day one

Mr Sneeze,I would expect him to kick between 60-80.

From memory Richo has the second most career goals behind only Lloyd, for current day players. Don't quote me, but I believe Richo is on around 630-640 and Lloyd I believe may have passed the 750 mark last year.

have you forgotten about Big Sav?

My point was based on one particular issue. Richo continues to run too close to the man on the mark. He then rushes the kick and ends up spraying it on most occassions.

To all you fellow PRE readers I ask you to watch this over the next 6 months. IMHO the RFC are dumb because they haven't rectified this issue for 10 years.

Look for it and you will see what I mean!

All time goalkicking list.
11th Matthew Lloyd: 754 goals, 209 games, 3.60 ave.
14th Sav Rocca: 728 goals, 248 games, 2.93 ave. (apologies for the exclusion).
21st Matthew Richardson: 645 goals, 216 games, 2.98 ave.
