Shhhh, people might start thinking success relies on how well your players play football.

Well, yeah.

She's a part-time consultant who would have come in occasionally to help with certain aspects of psychology and attitude. Might make some players happier and mentally healthier, but it's not the overall key to everything. That kind of stuff can only help when the people and organisation are open to it as well.

I'm sure she's great at what she does but it's a small piece of the puzzle.

At the top level of any sport mental attitude becomes far more important. Dimma is always saying that all the draftees can play the game. There is absolutely no doubt that football ability is crucial, but that's why those who are playing AFL are there. We can all see the differences in ability even at AFL level. But mental attitude is also important and any edge is worth pursuing.

How tall is she? Could she ruck above CJ? If so, let's trade him.

I'm all in on Muzza.

More sides are realising this and have started copying the Richmond model.!
No surprise that teams try to emulate a competitive advantage.
Konrad Marshall's incredible 'Yellow & Black' in 2017 basically became the text book for others to follow.
Great read but sure gave a big insight into what made us successful.

Just been listening to Emma Murray on SEN... Like many others she had a personal Shane Warne story.
His foundation paid 340k to renovate her home after her son's spinal injury.

Re... RFC.... she's taken on an apprentice at the Tiges..... Ivan Maric! (Mad stares now compulsory?)

In '82 had a guy that had been a skills coach at Footscray join my club
He said every player who made 1st grade VFL was an @rse hole and was quite strong on that point
If they didn't start out that way the constant back slappers corrupted them

The Richmond Man thing about trying to mould them into "decent" young men can seem a bit woke
but it and the work Emma does seem to keep them grounded and heading in a good direction

For 2017 - 2021 and think about how many players and staff would be involved
the success we had achieved and the intense pressures of the covid bubbles etc

the incidents we've had
Broad and the premiership medal
CCJ & Stack - kebab gate
Hardwick and his affair

just 3 !!!

clearly the group have been well behaved and very focused

credit to all those involved in the programs
