How Long Will Bernie Stay ?.

Might even be possible that Bernie stays long enough to coach a second n third flag for us. Reckon I might even be overjoyed if Bernie stayed around long enough to mind *smile* a few of the haters n equaled Tommy's run of four flags as Tigers coach.

Might even enjoy the side joke played on Essendrugs, that a former premiership player and rejected coaching prospect took the Tigers to a glory era while they were busy crippling their club.

Fully agree. What makes me look on at the Bummers with even more scorn now is that they're pumping up their own tyres about what an attacking side they are, such speed etc. etc. But this was exactly the game-style that Matty Knights had them playing - only to be undermined by Hird, Blobbo and the media crew who attacked him for not having enough defence, so he was sacked for Tirdy and his crew to slot in to nearly destroy the place.

Football-wise, they've gone around in a circle.

We could do a Collingwood, get rid of a premiership coach (Mick Malthouse) for a favourite son (Buckley).

Replace Hardwick with Matty Knights.

But Peggy hasn't got the ego problem of Eddie McGuire.
gee whiz surely there is a role for knighter.... bring him home!!!

Two thirds through konrad marshall's book.

How could anyone ever again want dimma to leave the club? I reckon i will be crying the day it happens! The man is now richmond royalty

Heh, if Dimma put himself on the market he’d land a head coaching role of his choosing. There’s no doubt about that at all.

Dimma now has the score on the board.

Any coach who can take us to a flag can pretty much write his own ticket elsewhere. There's probably 10 clubs who'd take him in a heartbeat if he were available.

I'm sure I'll be criticised for this, but all I am saying is the truth... before last September, he was the longest ever serving coach without a finals win. Many people out there still claim our premiership win was a fluke. So I disagree that he could land the job of his choosing if it became available, because there are plenty out there who still doubt him. FYI, I am not one of them anymore ;D

I'm not sure the nufti deniers on BigFooty, media, and some on here would be the ones choosing a coach for an AFL Team. Don't forget he was voted Coach of the year by his peers twice in one year, one when we weren't even top of the ladder.

The man would walk into most clubs if he wanted too.

I doubt you'd find any of them actually in the industry. Especially if you read the Konrad Marshall book which will undoubtedly read by everyone in the industry.

I'm still in shock.
We won the flag!!
Dimma can stay a couple more years!

Can't fault his coaching throughout September.
God only knows what happened coz Dimma 2017 wasn't the Dimma we knew before.
Credit where credits due, well done Dimma, well done everyone!

Given there are so many who can't see talent, even when they win a flag, and describe Richmond's premiership as a fluke and that the players are not as talented as some premiership sides; I figure Dimma would be snapped up in a big hurry. After all, if you take the view that Richmond just won a premiership with a group of players who are not talented, then the coach must be pretty damned special.

I'm very happy to have him as our coach and hope he stays on for quite a while. I still remember when Hafey was pushed out and a more insane outcome I've never seen. The way we went through coaches for the next decade and more was a disaster area.

tets, let's not forget that he was told to coach less in 2017 and it worked wonders for him.

dimma was a big part of the flag win, but a master coach he ain't.

you need a dash of instinct for that, and he doesn't have it.

Baron " the proof will be in the pudding " from now on with our coach. He has one on the board & with a tremendous young list to work with , it is all up to him to prove 2017 was no fluke.

You really should read Conrads book. Puts the premiership fairly and squarely at Dimmas feet.
He spent a year and a half in the inner sanctum, and although everyone will always have an opinion, he should know better than most because of his privelige debut insight. In 2017 Dimma was the best coach in the league and was voted the same by his peers

He loves the players and the players love him, but without the coaching changes (and game plan change, which wansn't his) we would not have won the flag.

In the old days, the senior coach got heaps of credit, and that credit was due. Times have changed though.

yes, I would definitely like to read that.

Tigers coach gotta a lot of work to do again this season as Tigers list rated ninth by afl.com. Three elite Dusty , Rancher & Sheds. Cotch only above average so you have to wonder what the compiler drinks & who he votes for.

If Dimma can win another premiership in 2018 with the ninth rated list, he'd have to be a genius wouldn't he?

Not really. It's all Balme and Blake with a bit of Leppa. Dimma is Director of Man Hugs
