while its fresh in peoples minds i have to ask this question.
whilst attempting to maintain structure and gain some size the question i have to ask once again is how many poor kicks/decision makers can a side carry.

The claw has been spot on all this time.

To answer the question, a side can carry maybe 5-8 average kicks if they are tough. We have maybe 5 good kicks, and some of them buckle under pressure.

Chewy on your boot... that sums up our mental strength.

I know the 5-8 average kicks remark might seem hard to digest right now, but I believe with strong leadership gutless introverts can play above themselves. This extends to good kicks as well.

I can't believe we have a player like Cotchin on our list, he is by far head and shoulders above everyone else at our club when you factor in character as well as talent. We don't JUST need players with good skills. We need players with strong CHARACTER.

Deledio has sublime skills, but it counts for nothing when you can't handle your nerves.

Clawster you have been banging on bout getting rid of average players and I haven't listened
Last night was my wake-up call

The players we have recruited are not good enough, we need guys with good football skills, decision making and are willing to put in
More than that, the coaching staff need to teach the boys discipline, toughness, urgency, 1%ers, pressure, dealing with pressure, being active when you don't have the ball, getting the simple things right
I sadly don't think Terry can do that

If you ain't good enough then you shouldn't be playing, if you don't wanna put in and do what is asked then you shouldn't be playing

Mental strength, I thought we got some of that last year, didn't we, beating those tough sides that we did 8 out of our last 11?

I really don't think that counts at all.

The Hawks didn't really need to win and every other side we beat we should have anyway.

False dawn is consistent and almost expected at Tigerland.

The Tiges have blown it for me this year, already, and I know it is early. I need a break. There are more important thing to think of at this time.

Sigh. :-[

I think we only beat those teams because we had nothing to lose
when something is on the line and there is pressure, we turn to water

as i have said in another thread this is an issue that needs to be addressed

How many? Based on last night we saw:

Simmonds, Foley, Deledio, Raines, McMahon, McGuane, Moore ( that's off the top of my head) butcher ball in unforced errors. Just not AFL standard from them and many others last night.
