How much does the RFC consume your life?

I never thought I could love a footy club this much, well any sporting club for that matter.

I always dream of a premiership and when/if that day comes then I will have a part of my life completed.

Just some off the symptoms you find when developing Tigerdiieharderitis or TDH

Not sleeping during trade week---Getting on PRE in Summer ;D---Going interstate when you can watch it on TV---Spending money you dont have on memberships---Buying others memberships to get the numbers up----Taking sickies to see training/praccy matches---Getting to games before the gates are open even when you have reserved seats---watching Coburg games in the pre season,or in the mud

I think the biggest sign is when you plan your whole year around the fixture an all the RFC functions

You loser!

Fair effort Cam, broken arm and still went to the footy

Didn't know it was broken at the time :D Also, big thanks to RFC for the beautiful get well card. They were tipped off by a friend about the circumstances and sent a card wishing me a quick recovery that will be treasured for a long time

parked outside the local primary school on election day refusing to leave the car to vote until the draft is completed......

flicking through The Age and Herald Sun sports pages for tigers articles before deciding to buy either paper......

defending caroline wilson to anyone who'll listen because at the end of the day, under it all, she's one of us......

spending every Monday morning on the phone to my Hawks supporting manager explaining that Tambo will justify his number 4 selection given time and that the Hawks didn't pick up Buddy Love with their first selection either.....

summer training sessions in 40 degree heat at Victoria Park, of all heathen places.....

being christened "tige" by my colleagues at the large government dept where i work.....

planning all weekend activities around the game. And expecting and demanding my collingwood supporting (gasp) partner to do the same (but not around collingwood games of course).....

reading this forum gratefully over summer when football news is hard to find....even though i'm usually too shy to post

Sometimes the mere sight of a team celebration after a goal is enough to get me all choked up.

As i grow older, my obsession is getting stronger each year.

I'm just glad i'm not alone.

I have to say to the above question , that i am consumed so much that at anytime i get i am on the net looking to see if there is any news on the tigers, logging onto this site, the afl and the rfc site.

I guess i can never get enough.

But the more i am consumed i guess the more dissapointed i get when we just havent had the success we had when i was growing up.

Every year i am more excited then the year before and every year the same happens. Hurt.

This year i feel it will be one hell of a ride.

Anything can happen from making the finals to having another season from hell. Then i am consumed all over again.

The rollercoaster ride that is our club.

The sen overnight show last night was a "Lets all put *smile* on Richmond " night.

One of the hosts was a Hawforn supporter and his whole show consisted of ripping into anything Richmond related.

I was ready to jump out of bed and give this *smile* a ring.

His voice even has a irritable hipitched arrogance about it.

The amount of envy towards Richmond is getting on borderline crazyness.

When I was a Kid, growing up in Kyneton Vic, all the other kids in those days were Carlton, as it was a Carlton
recuirting zone, for us to win again and again was Super, as I must have been the the only Tiger around, in those days. In 1980 living in Collingwood, it was again special, as my Life was the Richmond Club.

Then got married, had 4 kids, and have only come back to the Tigers in the Last few years, had to do the Family thing now I back with the best.

Hey Furycat, do the 4 kids all follow richmond, did u get in early and brain wash them!

My wife knows how much the tiges mean to me.
As soon as the draw comes out she gets the calendar and fills in when we're playing and works all our social outings around it.

I think she thinks I'm having an affair with someone on PRE 'cos ever since my sister introduced me to it every spare moment I'm on it.
The kids walk past and say "What subject are you talking about now? :)

My daughter's birthday is on the day of the first game.'Guess where me and my son will be ;)

Yes all the kids are true tigers, brainwashed early, one or two said hate football, then all came back to the Tigers, and are all true Tiger Supporters now.

My old man's a Kyabram lad.

He loves Petts and Lids!

The reason I'm a Tiger since birth.
