How much muscle should a footballer carry?

A Collingwood fan at work was getting his jollies out of the physiques of this trio saying it'll be a big year for the Pies, they're ripped!
Calendar boys they might be but they won't have to worry about including the month of September.

Ironically,a former Scumwood player told me that during the 90s the Eagles were *allegedly* up to no good on the roids front.
The AFL players of the time joked about the "Malthouse Milkshakes" and what they contained.
Skinny draftees somehow added about 25kgs over a pre-season :headscratch
They also had Matt Barber as their fitness and conditioning coach and look where he wound up on the steriods issue!!

Looks like Mick has remembered the potions and masking agents from his WA days doesn't it?

Explosive power is what is needed in AFL, these guys i very much doubt are on roids! As soon as there is some1 remotely muscular ppl start screaming roids! There are a fair few ppl out there that are natural! I think AFL players are undersized and I think increasing the strength of players would be a big benefit! With rotations, resting up forward, the aerobic needs of players have decreased dramatically! over 50% of a game players are walking anyway! Its a bold move, going against the trend of slim, running sides but it could pay off! But lets hope it doesnt!

Think you've got it arse about there TAS, run rabbit run is the name of the game now.
While all players need some power for the physical tackling side of things repeat bursts from 15 to 80 metres up and down the ground are whats required.

That's a cruel thing to do to a girl this early on a Sunday morning immorta. Gross.

Holland and Bucks both look pretty "fat". I suppose they work that off over the next couple of months.

Still I reckon all sides would be a bit fat ATM.

Buckley's a good size of player. This is what he looks like when he's really ripped.
