How much will we miss Campbo?

I'd like to see Newman push up and fill the void left by Campbell who will be missed, although made the correct decision.
Time for Chris to spend more time in the middle next season. He's got the ability, now is the time to give him the responsibility.

As much as i was a supporter of Cambos retiring in my push for youth we will miss him no doubt cos the on field time Cambo had will now probably go to a dud like  :-X :-X :-X ect which is detrimental to the side anyways!
I have to admire your optimism, craig.

However we will miss the relentless running, hard & loose ball gets, shepherding, blocking, quick hands in tight, 30+ possessions, etc that a younger wayne campbell provided.

Funny, I've never really thought of Campbell as a 'hard-ball get' player. Certainly wasn't his natural game, the way it is for, say, Coughlan. I think his biggest assets were his hard running link-man ability, his quick hands around stoppages and his set-shot goal-kicking.

It definately wasnt his natural game, however he improved his 'in-close and hard-ball gets' simply because no-one else in the team was capable for many years. He was effectively a wingman who changed his game and did so very well.

One of only two players I would classify as 'great' during my time watching Richmond.

:clap
great posting

Will we miss him? hard to say. yes if we're losing....but not if we're winning ...nobody missed healy when Gilchrist come along.
