i have been skeptical of the mcmahon trade from the word go. (i even penned the song were from flankerland as a protest)this year has conformed the worst of our suspisions. but we are stuck with him for another two years so we can either trade him for a pick 40 if we are lucky or maybe think outside the square and try him out of the goal square.

i know what you are thinking has yandb lost his marbles but just go with me on this one.

mcmahon is quick real quick so who is going to catch him on the lead.
he is good on both sides but he overcooks his kicks on his left and puts the ball over his intended targets head with regular monotony. the key is that the kicks are still very accurate albeit too high so in the foward line who cares.
if he is kicking at goal if the kick goes a bit higher who cares it is still a goal so terry or your assistants if you read these columns try him out of the foward pocket and maybe we can get some value out of the deal.

there is a major flaw in your thinking. He will get manned up if he plays forward - yes, he will have a MAN. points for trying though

NO bloody way

he will get muscled out so easily in one on ones
the only way he will get a kick is if he gets it lace out on the chest which out players cant do

McMuffin is not quick. Go to training and watch him in the sprint drills or what his running style in a game. He goes up and down on the spot. The fact he's skinny and so outside creates the illusion that he's quick.

Not slow, but not quick either imo.

I don't know what he is but he's not a defenders ass. Maybe try him on a wing where you can get plenty of uncontested possession and run. If he fumbles it, at least it won't be as damaging as in the backline.

not quick, uve got to be kidding, over 100m he may not be infront at the winners post but i would suggest that his acceleration is 2nd to none. over 10-20m is where he puts yards on his opponents and by the time they get close enough to him he has already got rid of it.
speed clearly isnt his problem.
