Howat Booked

personally i say good on Cam for showing some guts and toughness to whack a bluebagger, afterall it is being soft that was one of his main irks for a lot of people especially on PRE. anyone who steps up and shows some toughness, ala jake king style and dishes up some toughness in my opinion is putting their hand up to say im moving forward, admittadly not that smart to do it 100 metres off play, but i am all for any rfc players standing up and showing some guts, its what rfc needs to show more of and i say good onya Cam, just a pity u got 3 weeks for it. maybe next time take your toughness onto the ball more often, as you did show during the game to put yourself into one on one contests, keep it up, as did ricky tambling which surprised me.

i do agree that it might harm cams chances getting back into the team if his replacement gets 3 weeks in the seniors to impress though, like connors, polo or edwards etc. there is also a bloke by the name of coughlan that could be pushing for a spot in a fortnight when his fitness is a little better! i doubt cotchin will be in the mix with his fitness or confidence within a fortnight and they wont risk a young bloke like him just to get him in 1 or 2 weeks earlier than expected just because one of our other blokes gets rubbed out............

the afl injury list has Cotchin out for 4. Meyer is an indefinite

But I think his 8 week minimum on the Long Term Injury list is up by Rd 3, and thus eligible to return to the senior list (but I stand to be corrected).

Irrigardless of who the player was ( liked by us or not)

Irregardless if 3 weeks is deserved.

The Tribunal is a Joke.

Yes the players past record should count.

Its not him getting 3 weeks thats the joke.

Its the Punishment in which that spineless, gutless Hartlett got.

The system is a Joke and the club should be asking for a please explain.

how can i take my 2yo (his first game) on sunday when on the field is all this violence and off the field we have 30yo's trying to wake up night duty without knocking. *smile* week I say.

you have to be kidding right? the child is TWO....does he know what pissing on a wall is?? only from what he has been taught if he is a boy..and as for a girl..well...at times you wish they could just *smile* on a wall.....

Agree I am not sure who's decision it was to challenge the 2 week suspension and get it downgraded to 1 for being reckless?

It now looks like it has backfired BIGTIME, this 3 week period is a chance for another player, and Cam could have stuffed up his year, as he is not an automatic selection after this, Conners or Edwards if fit may grab this chance with two hands. Howat can not really afford any time on the sidelines from where he is at, it could be all over for him now?

Have to disagree MC - we had to challenge that given the flimsy evidence .. our players have to believe the club will go into bat for them just as much we expect them to reciprocate. In a way (and probably because it was only Howat) I am glad we have had a player reported. Did we have one last year? There is a fine line b/w toughness & stupidity but we have to stand up more physically than we have in the past.
