I know alot of you won't care about this, but I just saw footage of him on Channel 10.  I was expecting to see a
Hunt (Cats)/Dew (PA) type build, intead I saw a bloke who was built like a young Pike/Riscuito.......Gee, we couldn't use a bloke like this down at Tigerland....   ::) ::)  I still would have been more comfortable with Hurn at 8...

Balance:Should ony have two Grunt midfeilders in the side.We already have the 2.

Disagree Mad Cow. History shows the best teams have more than 2 of them.

Francis Jackson handed out a sheet on Tuesday showing Coughlan, Tuck, Hyde (?), Polo and Foley as being our future "inside" midfielders. Think we need outside men that have speed and good finishing skills - that's driving the decision making.

Polo looks to have a bit of grunt.

I can understand the speed and good finishing skills. I have no problem with adressing that need.

However, just going back to hard inside midfielders, relying on Polo, Hyde and Foley to be our future in that area is a big ask imo. I would like one or two more better skilled insiders - preferably with a bit of nastiness as well e.g. players in the Lewis mould.

Let's try out Polo to see if he can develop some 'nastiness'.

If your going to include Hyde, Cogs & Tuck are in that age bracket also.

Don't worry about it wozza, you might find that our picks might have something to do with the X-Factor.

you maybe right there Red,However at this stage of our list we need speed and skill IMO.These types take at least one year to adapt.Perhaps the plan is for us to take a Hurn type in 2006 draft who can be ready to step into it straight away therefore enhancing our team with Pace and grunt at the sametime.

The problem with us this year and previous years is that the likes of Coughlan, Johnson and Tuck faded as the season/s progressed. Another big boy would have certainly improved things. But hey, the recent rules changes signify that this great game of ours is moving closer to an aerial ping pong style ...
