The Kangaroos are looking to get rid of a couple - take your pick from Rocca, Thompson, Rawlings and Hay

would you pass deledio for roughead?

No. Deledio was the clear standout in his year.

Yes. I'd pass him for Thorp too. These two (according to all reports I've read, including those from previous under 16 and under 18 carnivals and last years TAC games) were already matching players like Kennedy who went early in last years draft. They are both rated as highly as Gibbs and have been rated that way because of their talent, not just because they are key position players.

IMO a quality CHF/CHB is someone you truly build a team around, and while having gun midfielders is great, you still need that one explosive big guy to take you all the way to the top, and the opportunity to grab someone as good as these guys may not come along again for a long time, where every year you will see two or three standout midfielders, if not more.

Although I agree there's alot of water to go under the bridge before this draft, Hansen and Thorp (and Gumbleton and Sellar) would have to really drop off for their reputations to suffer.

Agree with u 100%. From what i've read, Hansen and Thorp are gems that only come around every so often. WE WOULD BE CRAZY not to take one of these if they are available. They dominate the air, have great footy brains, very agile and apparantly are quick as gezelle's. Riewoldt type match winners. Whilst i love skillfull midfielders, we DEFINATELY need one of these two. Imagine Richo (while he's still around), Hughes and of these guns in the forward or backlines. Will strengthen our team immensely. Our second pick could then be a midfield running type of player.

IF YOU'RE LISTENING MILLER & WALLACE. Get it right. No more wasting picks.

GO TIGES!!!

God that would be tough (makes me sick that the prioritiy pick before the first round is gone - even though it wasn't fair and open to corruption). I heard during the week on SEN that they are rating Gibbs to best young player to come out of SA since Kernahan. The best for 20 years in fact! Can we ignore that? What of the go home factor???

It would have to depend to a degree on whether we finished on the bottom and we got the second round priority pick at 17. And from there whether we could improve our position of 3 picks in the top 18 still further via aggressive trading with the players that we have (and of course the overall depth of the top 20 would be a factor as well). All I can say I would hate to be in Millers shoes if we had pick 1 etc and he screwed it up!
