I am a little worried about Hardwick..

I would think Hardwick is a smart man, his own man and would not read or even believe the dribble that comes from the mouths of those supporters whose experience may only extend to their barstools and eskys.
He is the coach!
He is in part responsible for the development we have seen over the past few years, he has seen the team become more skilled and stable. ALong with the leadership of Gale we now see a defined path that everyone is staying on.
I am glad he is our coach and its great to see our club developing and find the negative dribble highly amusing!

Thank God there are true supporters like you still around otherwise we would be changing our coaches every season

Use the "quote" function circa!!

I am glad Williams has arrived
Wiliams was unable to get anything out of an underachieving Port so what will he give to the Tigers? He may be useful in developing players which I believe he was brought into. Hardwick has improved the Tigers out of sight since Wallace so he should continue to have our support until proven otherwise. Right now despite the hiccups he has us slowly going in the right direction

ROFLMAO

Let me see.
Williams 2 grand finals with one flag

Hardwick - lost to Gold Coast twice

What weed are you smoking man???

Nothing wrong with having some concern and voicing it this time of the year. Doesn't make you any less a supporter.
I was looking for a strong 2012 finish as I believe this could be a good indicator for 2013.
The Port draw hasn't had much discussion, probably because it was a dead rubber, but it was a crucial game as an indicator imo. I'm certainly not heading into 2013 chock full of confidence.
I am more confident about the longer term outlook though based around the way the club is now run.

I'm intrigued. A crucial game as an indicator of what? There was no pressure all game from either side. All I learnt was that Port are pretty good under no pressure.

Agree with this not beating Port at home is a big fail IMO

I'm not worried at all about the port draw at the MCG. If we had a finals spot riding on that game I reckon it would have been a good win to us. Thumbs up. But we'll never know fur sure

At the time I was pretty bothered by the Port draw, but we improve every pick by 2 places now. So in the long run it might turn out okay.

Those with long memories will recall that Choco has left unceremoniously from a few clubs, even at times when he was Captain or Coach.
He seems to bring the baggage with him wherever he goes. But I trust Benny to handle it appropriately.

Indicator of mental strength in the group. Even your observations suggest we didn't apply enough pressure. All the planning and expectation would have been around a solid win.
Anyone who thinks we "experimented" is deluded. Yeah the silver lining out of the dark day was that we gained some recruitment advantage (maybe). But we actually failed bottom line.

The outcome would have been similar. Maybe a close win and fall into the 8 and go straight out - maybe in a bad way like NM. Or draw as we did and finish 9th in the worst way possible.
Still not going to subscribe to the the fact that finals not possible influencing the way we played - and it shouldn't. Actually thankful 8th spot wasn't on the line.

Yeah a big silver lining as mentioned. Was definitely not planned that way. Cassisi's kick hits the behind post and we win by a point and all that advantage gone.

I said an under achieving Port side which they have been for at least the previous 3 years or so. Granted 5 years ago plus they were a good side however Port dropped Williams because he couldn't keep them firing. I just can't see what he is going to bring to the club but will wait and see

This is a nagging thought in my mind. No doubt he brings a lot of passion and knoweldge, but you have to wonder if this pattern of ending in tears is also part of that package.

He is hard to get along with because he lacks political correctness and people skills
This is exactly what the club needs because we're drowning in it
He will bring some kill factor and mental hardneess into the boys and Coaching staff
Which will kick us over the line in those honorable losses we had

Exactly. His resume speaks for itself and to be honest while I would prefer him as coach rather than Hardwick, in his role we might even get a few indigenous boys to make it at Richmond as a result.
