tank or no tank we are looking at, at least 3 yrs in the bottom 8 more than likely bottom 4. ffs we have to rebuild we dont have the option why cant people see this. we must exploit the system to its maximum while we are a bottom 4 side.
bottom 4 this yr with 4 wins pick 2 18 19 35 51. psd 1. bottom 2 next yr 2010 with pp will net us something like this picks 1 and 4 18 34 50. psd 1 a bottom 4 finish in 2011 will get us something like 3 20 36 52. psd 3 theres the best part of your rebuild done utiliseing decent picks. out of that lot you are hoping for 3 elite players3 or 5 very good and the rest solid core list players.with so many early picks you would hope two thirds to three quarters of these picks make it.
have a full rookie list for the 3 yrs theres another 3 players and then you have any late picks that may make it.
people should just suck it in and and expect 3 yrs near the bottom. winning games means jack sh!t atm. getting people in charge who can do a good job in critical areas is far more important.
we have a process we must go thru if we are to break this pathetic cycle we are on.that process is called bottoming out. pointless going thru the process though if we continue to fail in critical offield areas. offield is where this clubs destiny lies for the next 10 yrs or more. im hoping the review can address these areas before this seasons draft. so we can then go thru the bottoming out process with confidence.
theres no sugar coating people we are crap. we have holes in the list wider than the grand canyon,
we are lacking for core very good and elite players across the board.
we are almost devoid of well rounded long term mids and onballers. we lack kpds kpfs of any real quality in fact we have so few in numbers long term the work that needs doing is staggering.
we have 6 30 yr olds who are very short term we have another 8 players in the 24 to 29 bracket who quite simply put are not good enough and in the main never have been. yet ferals everywhere coninue to rate them highly. i wont even go into the number under 24 who arent good enough.
the simple fact is we need to rebuild and this time do it properly from the ground up with the right people running the show. anything less will mean more of the same going around and around and around to nowhere.
