Ala bulldogs 05. Remember? Shocking until rnd 15 or so, then their kids hit their straps, restructured, and knocked a few teams out of the finals. Next year made a semi.

Anyone still worried about Deledio? That Geelong game did him the world of good IMO.
Thursty, we now know hes capable of stopping the smaller, forwards now like lloyd. btw he did an awesome job last night.

With Simmo and Brown back soon, we can get a serious run-on imo. But would we want to see this? Or do we just settle for draft picks?

Heres to wishful thinking!
 
Definitely see promise in the kids, its just going to take time to sort out the potential versus the true talents.
 
Would rather see a winning culture than worry about slightly better draft picks. It's not like you don't get any - just the obviousness of the pick changes
 
Finishing last will have one huge benefit (assuning we miss out on the number 1 pick) and that is bargaining power with the number one pick in the preseason draft. Presuming some big names enter the fray, we will be well placed to capitalise (see Simmo).

In saying that, Melbourne are still a chance to take that honour. Could the rotten luck spill over to the draft as well?
