I hate Collingwood....and Carlton

I get so mad when Collingwood get all these soft games on prime times, and these are built up as marquee events. For Gods sake,,, Collingwood against the bottom team, who has only beaten ... that's right, us!!! Who in their right mind could possibly call this a blockbuster game?? When will they get to play someone of equal or better ability I wonder.

Watched a little of it in the 1st. quarter, but it is a no match game. Melbourne just are not up to standard at present. Turned it off.

The papers will be all over them tomorrow with glowing adulation, as usual. It's the same when Carlton manage to defeat some lowly team...wall to wall glowing reports. When we win....not often I know....but then it is the other team who lost it, not us winning on merit. Must be the weather today here in Melb. town that has given me the sads?? Or is Collingwood failing to lose a game. No matter, I just hate the sight of Collingwood and Carlton. other teams I can wear, but not those two. Sorry Rosalita if this thread is in the wrong place.

True TB. We have 7 at the G, 2 at docklands, 1 at subi and 1 at GC (our own doing...would have been a TD otherwise).

It's not so much about them v us, but more a simple 'why do they get all the favours?' coll never get a North-like draw for example. Mcchins is the squeaky wheel perhaps? Here's hoping 'blockbuster fatigue' sets in early :rofl

Very true. To be the best you have to beat the best. I know people will laugh at this comment, but I'd rather see us play our Melbourne games against the best possible opposition. I think it does a lot more for your team, especially when you are trying to move upwards, to play the best team in the comp. Interstate games I don't really care about, because on the balance of probability over time you will play most of your finals in Melbourne even if you are an interstate team.

Flat track bullies who beat up on the poorer teams in the comp are going nowhere. Sure, a soft draw gets you to the finals, but it also might cover cracks on your list, and the higher up the ladder you go the harder it is to fix these cracks. That is the nature of the draft.

It is in the blood, "Fits like a Glove." Not only do I barrack for the Tigers but have been a member for just so many years. The dislike for those two clubs is growing year by year, as I see the draw they get, particularly Collingwood. Then again no game is a "soft" game for us is it??

Ahh all is not lost my fellow tiger comrades...

The universe works in mysterious ways, where our false hope develops in the preseason and is evaporated early. The false hope of scumwood & Carlscum develop throughout the year only to have their hearts broken later.

We don't have any misery come September as with had the season to come to terms with our despair, leaving us to enjoy the suffering of these lower class people.
