I hate to admit it but....

People thinking of draft picks already? :cutelaugh

Pleeeease!

You should all know by now that this is not the answer.
We've had early draft picks many times before and has it made us any better?
Have these youngester we have drafted become elite players in the AFL?

So lets stop all the tanking rubbish right now!!!!

The ONLY way to turn us around is to have a coach come in with a simple game plan based on hard running and hard tackling for a start. Long kicks and move thee ball on quickly with any handpasses backwards in a ring-a-ring-a-rosy fashion leading to that player being benched.

That 1995 team we had also had some *smile* kicks....but by gee, they worked hard and had a simple gameplan that was to the players strengths, not some gameplan based on what Hawthorn/Geelong have.

Big deal! If we beat Melbourne. In my eyes, it should never have come to round four Vs Melbourne for our first win. Write the win down now. This game means nothing! Its quality opposition that we must beat if we have achieved anything over the past 4 years. Fast Forward to round 22. If we're out of the 8, then its an automatic replacement of Wallace. If Wallace is replaced now, the new coach will have the rest of this season to salvage or at least implement strategies for next year.

Maybe I got caught up with all the preseason hype. But if we were any chance of the eight, we should have beaten Carlton & Footscray! I'm willing to give that spin doctor a chance to turn it around this season, but he bloody well better!

By the way, I dont want the tiges to bottom out, I want a game plan that our boys know how to play. Even you optimists couldnt except 2 quarters won from a possible 12. Those of you who are looking through rose coulored glasses had better realise, we are currently going backwards, we are at best the 14th best team in the competition.

So by losing (but trying there best) against Melbourne will only fast foward the innevitable.

we will win and win easy. But shouldnt change a thing.4 weeks ago we where all on such a high. And now we are the same old rabble we have been for god nows how many years.Northy Gave us hope.We need a strong take no bull.Take charge coach.. Who that the Q

Hoping the team will win instead of lose doesn't mean we're wearing rose coloured glasses Sonny... we all know the failings of the Tigers at present but you know what... following Richmond is what I do in my spare time - for enjoyment - and I'd like to take pleasure in that past time every now and then. Lighten up. Get some perspective. Sit in the sun with a mid strength and a pie. Get behind the Tigers and cheer them on to victory... stop plotting their downfall. The inevitable will come inevitably... let's try and enjoy the ride.

Angie, Actually I was sitting with a mid strength beer & a half frozen pie in the very hot sun yesturday. It wasnt very enjoyable.

Ha ha, my pie was frozen in the middle too! But I loved the smell of the grass and the occassional funny comment from a frustrated supporter. Frustrating day out, I know, but I wouldn't wish to be anywhere else.

I don't have time to worry about the things I can't change...

Go tigers.

Hey Angie, but we can change the clubs mind. It was people power that got Cousins to the club. Oh, and I'm sure that pile of Chicken Manure did some good.

Now thems some rose coloured glasses! ;D

After the crap that's been dished up in the media and amoungst the general footballing public about the lack of heart in our team, if they don't get up and win by at least 15 goals against Melbourne I'll consider it a failure.

Terry's ticket is stamped. With or without him we need a team that can react positively when they find themselves in the situation they are in now.

If we roll over and get beaten by melbourne then we won't see any change for the next few years, new coach or not.

OK, it's now happened. Lets fast track the new coach in NOW! Give him the rest of the year to put a fire cracker up those players arses. And hope next year will be the new begining.

I don't think sacking Wallace at this point would achieve anything. If that happens we get Campbell and he's worse. I do hope that every player who took the field today feels like absolute crap and that this will finally force them to take a good hard look at themselves and admit that they are not even doing justice to themselves the way they are playing and maybe some of them will realise that they're not up to it and do themselves and us a favour and give the game away.

I totally agree. If we sack Wallac,e we may get a few wins but that doesn't help anything.

I do hope Wallace realizes when we won't make finals then we need to play more Kids and get some games in them.

< Finals | why? >
