Interesting comment. So far, Deledio and Tambling are in this category, with Foley, Schulz and Raines not far behind (56,56 and 53 respectively).

Thursfield and Moore would be in this ball park as well, except for injury. Pattison, Jackson have ticked over 40. Morton only has 17 AFL games but probably 50 WAFL/VFL games and we have several kids with 10-30 games, Edwards, Reivoldt, Hughes, King, White and Polo.

I agree with you that 60-80 games is about the time when tangible and measurable improvement begins. If nothing else, it is when players become a bit more consistent. This is the season when we find out whether the Tigers have something to go forward with.

I think the best thing about Essenscum falling apart is that most of them cant see it themselves.

Its like Richmond circa 1983 - not being powerful doesnt fit in their world view and therefore they keep expecting the 'natural order' to be restored 'any time now' / 'the club wont allow it' / 'weve too proud a history to..' - and therefore they wont take the necessary action or maintain the required club discipline to address fundamentals. We did that and had 25 years of window-dressing solutions as a result - no crack so wide that it couldnt be papered over, and a large supporter base that disguised the decline. Once you get on that slippery slide its harder and harder to turn it around, and the medicine has to get stronger when you do.

I'm loving the fact that they are literally staring blindly over the precipice of long term failure and dissappointment. They have no respect for us- infact, it goes beyond that - they have complete contempt for us. CONTEMPT. Spat in our face, sneering CONTEMPT. I want them to hurt badly and hurt for a long long time... Im talking YEARS and YEARS. Lets see their crowds fall off (unlike ours) Lets see their profits shrink, Lets see prospective players and prospective coaches avoid the club....And I for one will point each of these out to them and remind them again and again how completely *smile* their club is and how it was only a part of the big 4 when it was winning. *smile* you Essendon.
