Anyone else listening to radio and reading the papers today?

The Bombers are tearing each other apart :)

Sheeds bagging players in public

Jackson slagging off the team

Horsbough (?) still slagging off Sheeds

I'm loving this :D

Seeing what Sheeds has written/said in the media, after being shafted in the dismissal I reckon he is just saying "%$^# em, two can play that game", and is going down swinging to make these guys realize what they will be missing.

If it was RFC, I would be p1ssed with both sides, but given its the Bombers....Bravo!! Encore Encore!!! :clap

'the dissmisal'-nice work t74.

Sheedy :"We may well say God save the Queen, because nothing will save the Essendon football club"

Sheedy seems to have created some divisions recently &sounds like the Bombers have done the right thing not renewing his contract.

Sheedy singled-handedly built that club. He stood strong and firm when things got tough and took all the pressure on his own shoulders. He made it easy for everyone around him to look good.

He has been sacked because Essendon people now believe that one man does not make a footy club and that they can do better without him.

Ah, the hubris of fools.

Couldn't agree more MB. Any single handed fool is never bigger than the club itself. As great as Sheedy has been, you dont want to go down grumbling - only the individuals are hurt!

well done to the essendon board

they can see the ship is sinking and arent going to stand by and let it continue to happen

it was always going to get messy but when making hard decisions it always is

i hate them but respect them at the same time

They should never have re-signed Sheedy 3 years ago, the timing was right then for him to leave. The writing was already on the wall that they needed to rebuild the list. This time around the timing isn't so good, should have kept him on to let him finish the rebuild he's started.

Fully support this post. It is great to see another club eating its' own.

One man doesn't a football club make. But he does seem intent on tearing it down. I think the club knew that someone was going to have to make the tough decision and kept putting off. They gave Sheeds several chances to do it the honourable way and he wouldn't, so he was pushed.

He is now getting his just desserts.

Just great stuff.

For me the best thing about Essendon imploding is watching Matty Llyod stutter and stammer his way through not really sure if he is pro Sheeds, Anti Sheeds and have a look on his face like someone just told him his backside looks huge with his shorts pulled up around his ears.

'Really. It looks THAT big?"

Just say those words every time you see or hear Lloyd trying to hold up the house from falling down.

Brings a laugh on without fail.

I can't wait for the pitiful excuses from their pitiful supporters. They really do think there indestructable! Crash & burn Essendon.
