sure we had a lousy 3 weeks, it's terrible. but i hate it when the media gets a little sniff and they just jump on the bandwagon. this morning greg denham came out on SEN and said that melbourne has a better future than us. i mean, get real. any one who's not delusional knows that demons has the worst list in the afl. where on the field are they better than us?? they have a promising backline with warnock garland and frawley but all the expert have said that our trio of thursfield, moore, mcguane and the addition of rance is better. their midfield has nowhere near the talent of deledio, cotchin foley etc, their rucks consist of meeson, spencer, johnson etc. (what have they shown?) their forwardline is probably the most promising part with watts, lynch and a few small forwards, has promise but nowhere near potent.
so how is that a better future than us??
Dr Turf (melbourne supporter) also on SEN said that out of the 3 winless teams (richmond, freo, melbourne), which team has shown the most promise. he said melbourne based on the fact that they are playing only a bunch of kids. what a load of crap. the reason they have to play their bunch of kids is that apart from them, they have no one else. no senior players to come in to assist them. as for us. sure, we're playing a few senior players, but we have still a handful of talented kids playing in coburg yet to come into the team, whereas most of demon's kids are already on the field getting thrashed. so which team has more promise?? you tell me.
