After half time my son and I sat there in utter disbelief. The loud Richmond supporters around us until half time, went seriously quiet from the start of the third quarter, which is an indication of how we were all feeling. Once again, after a pretty good start with a running game we suddenly went back to that awful prop and cop type of footy. Why, is what everyone around us was asking?? On the way out of the G, and I admit to not waiting right to the end, as did so many others, most were shaking their heads and making not very flattering comments about our style of footy after the big break.
Please. someone, explain to me why this is so?? How can a team suddenly go from a running type of game, which was working, to a "what do I do now," style. Everyone must have noticed how when we did get the ball, the players were looking around with little idea of what to do with it.
The paper today reported a little girl crying. We may not have been crying outwardly, but certainly crying on the inside. Like everyone else on here, I'm so sick of losing. It has gone on for too many years now, and unfortunately, can't really see a light at the end of the tunnel in the near future, unless the new coach has some magic bullets up his sleeve, and that does not appear likely.
